Lightroom and backed up catalogue question

So i finally made it to a Future shop and picked up an external HD to use as my LR back up drive. I managed to get my catalogue backed up, at least i think i have them all, it did not ask that question. Now, very soon i will have to remove my photos from my ibook hard drive, i'm down to 7.5 gig.

I'm happy with a 200 gig pocket drive that I make my 3rd backup to, which I keep in my car in the alley. A. I have all my master images with me wherever I go. RAW & Jpeg. B. It's offsite, but only 30 seconds away. C. Being USB powered, any computer can access it. D. It's not that expensive.
