Some one from the list took a PZ1P apart one time and it does have a metal
body or at least a metal framing.

I have owned one of those lenses for 4 or 5 years now and I can't say any
thing bad about it. I think it is as good as any thing Pentax makes, and at
one forth the price. Build quality is the best. It is one of the sharpest
shooting lens made.

i was using 1 of my pz1ps and my tokina 75-300 af. the window was so close to
the feeder the birds all really fill the frame.

i have that tokina 19-35 lens and i like a lot. i shot a wedding two
weeks ago and they put togeather two groups of relatives that a 28 mm
would not work.the 19-35 sure came in handy.

i have a couple of people on the list ask how it was done. a long time
ago my wife had a fiber optic lamp. the fibers revolved as did different
colored pieces of cellophane. i sat it on the floor and stood above it.
as it revolved i set the camera on bulb held the shutter open just long
enough to
got my film back flim the lab . i shot i61 frames of the good guys car
show on july 14 here in columbus. used 2 pz1p bodies and a tokina 28-70
f2.8 and a tokina 19-35 f3.5-4.5 lenses. got 38 frames out of a roll
of 36. shot 5 rolls of 24 and got 1 extra frames from 3 of them. every
frame was a k
to sit home and sell photos would make it to easy. what i did several
years ago was take a bunch of photos of the downtown columbus ohio
skyline . i put the 4x6 pictures in plain album and visited some
framing stores in my end of the town. i sold them enlargements of the
photos the picked out

photos that a client wants to blow up to 30x40 . what do you think?

i used that 1.7 converter when i had a sf1n a long time ago. i put it on
with a 85 1.8 lens. you set the lens to infinity and let the
teleconverter do the focusing. i don't remember how it worked with
regards to close focusing.

been replaced with the 28-70 f2.6-2.8 and that has been replaced with
the 28-80 f2.8. but tokina has always had some of the best "off brand"

pzip bodies and every thing works as it is suppose to.
I've found the FA 28 - 70 to be acceptable at 28mm.

out not long ago that was 2.6-2.8. that one was also a pro model. i do
have the early one. it is heavy but on the pz1p it balances very nice.
it is all metal and has hld glass . i got mine aout 4 years ago and paid

description of the mz-s. it is a full 1/4 of a pound lighter then the
pz1p. does not have the shutter speed or motor drive speed and
exposuer compensation only goes 3 stops instead 4 . thats is an awful

but MZ50 is not good with K mount you lose metering. Cant even use them on
