I have the FA135 f/2.8(IF), and love it. It's hard to imagine getting such a telephoto reach and f/2.8 speed (as experienced with the 135 on a DSLR) in such a small package. The FA version of the 135 and the F are very similar. The FA is said to have slightly looser feel in manual focusing.

You recommended the 20-35 before. I didn't go for that, because zoom-wise, I'm ok with the 16-45. I just wanted a prime lens, mostly because of the size. It's probably psychological, but I still feel self-conscious when shooting people with a big zoom. I understand the 20-35 is compact for a zoom,

I actually have the M28/3.5, which is great, but frankly, I wanted an A lens. I had no problem shooting in manual mode with the M6 and the MX, but with those cameras changing the exposure is much faster, plus I was shooting tri-X, which is very benevolent if you tend to err on the overexposure side
