Hi all,
I was actually wondering if any hard drive in the market nowadays would actually
fit in a PB 1400.
I'm the proud owner of a 1400c/133 which works quite well with its 512 Megs
CompactFlash and its Orinoco Wifi card.
I was planning to upgrade its 1 Gig drive with a (lot) bigger one
Lowendmac says that ATA-6 drives won't work with pre-g4 pbs. Size
isn't the problem, it's the controller. Just a tip.

Hello all
Thanks for all your help with the 1400 for my Dad.
Glad its working. How does he like it?
Then I started from WirelessOS and installed the Orinoco 7.2 driver
and it worked perfectly with the YDI wireless Diamond card (P/N 012606/B).
You will like that card, if you ever upgrade your
Don't try to use Ram Doubler 9 with the Orinoco driver. You will have
nothing but problems.

If you want pop-up blocking and such like with OS

Thanks Bruce, that's justwhat I needed.
I've installed it on my Dad's 1400 along with Netscape 6.
I don't know if he'll use it but it's there if the pop-ups get too
Whoops, meant to say PDF rather than JPEG

Hello all
Thanks for all your help with the 1400 for my Dad.
Thanks especially to Ken Vann for his help and for his wireless FAQ for
older Macs http://www.home.earthlink.net/~kjvann
As suggested by Ken and others I partitioned the 1400 (G3 233 upgrade OS

The 1400 saga continues, I'm trying to load an old copy of
Kaleidagraph (version 3.08) on the 1400 (G3 233 OS 8.6).
When I try to run it I get:
application could not be opened because Microsoft_OLE2 could not be
found
I didn't find anything at apple.com but did find a troubleshooting
article
Is there any way to use the infrared port on my Powerbook 1400 to sync
with a Palm III? I've downloaded two versions of Palm's desktop
software, and neither has recognized my IR port.
Unfortunately I don't have any way to ensure the port's working, as I
don't have anything else that uses IR.
