I have two people I can no longer email. It used to work just fine. I
have not changed anything on my qmail server. (I know, you've heard that
before! but I swear, I didn't). Both email addresses, I can telnet to
them on port 25 and get a prompt, so I know the domain part of the
addresses are OK.

If I

MX or A but that the host is not defined in
control/locals. I'm not sure why qmail believes it
is the best-preference MX or A, DNS should tell it

The main reason for this error is that you are not executing make from the
source root. When you invoke make, unless you specify otherwise, it will
look in the current working directory for its Makefile.

Well Dear "Friends" ,
Thank you very much for laughing at me.
I talked about the connection reset my Qmail server initiated to few of

The problem was with the tcpserver , the -H switch solved it .

The qmail code was quite informative in solving the evidence of the

qmail requires a system user account named "alias". It's part of a

Martin,
You are probably going to need xinetd or tcpserver in the near future
(qmail expects it's port to be protected against relaying by something
