It appears the Shelby valve cover you have is from an 89
CSX. In 1989, the 2.2/2.5 switched to a reusable one piece
gasket (including the Shelby covers). RTV is no longer
required at all with them. So you need a gasket for an 89
or newer 2.2/2.5 for your Shelby cover. It is a neoprene

I am looking for a new Daytona and I found one
for sale. Says it is a 90 Shelby Daytona with a
2.5 turbo
I thought the Shelby's were 2.2
If I recall correctly, the 2.5 turbo was used in the
Shelby's but came with automatic. If it is a 5 speed car,
it should be a 2.2 VNT intercooled

actually the BCM does NOT control the pop up headlamps or headlamp
doors on
the 90/91 daytona or lebaron. the 1990 daytona and lebaron both have
a headlamp
control module with relays inside it like the 87 to 89 cars do, even
the plug
is the same, box is differently shaped tho, actually black

grounds from our local u-pull-it.
Good grounding is a key to making these cars run right. Having all
the factory grounds in place and making sure they are free of
corrosion is really all that is needed.

87 CSX's got the black inset painted Centurian II's
Same as 87 Charger GLHS..Only difference was that
the GLHS got the grey painted inset..
One other difference I haven't seen listed yet between the Centurion
I's used on 86 GLHS and the Centurion II's used in 87, is that on the
Centurion
get more
grounds from our local u-pull-it.

Hello All,
I have recently finished my rebuild/turbo replacement
and can't seem to get my car started. Timing is
perfect, good plugs, wires, new fuel pump, new fuel
rail from TU, etc. I've gotten turned around and
anyone driving my car about it. My GLHT
is like that to this day (trans clutch installed in 1990).
BTW, at the time I was so ticked off about this that I called the MP
hotline, and they confirmed that it was a problem on some cars.

Check your PVC valve routing. If the PVC is stuck or broken where
it freely allows vacuum applied to the valve cover connection, that
could account for it.

cover. So I twisted it and went to pull up and it
had better parking spots than the cheap

I saw (and held) one that Tim Costello had done by American Stitches
in Mesquite Texas. It was superb!!The leather was tight, but soft
to the touch. It felt so good to the touch, I didn't want to put
it down. If I had a steering wheel like that in my car, I would want
to go on long trips
I don't recall that article, so it must have been before my time. I
don't know whether you are talking about converting to the Nippendenso
alternator though. That is what I did on my 86 GLHT and the only
other thing needed (besides the alternator) was the lower mount and
adjuster from an 88 up
Check for corrosion on the plugs on the power module and logic module.
Typically the corrosion on the power module plugs is green crud, while
on the logic module connectors it is whitish with a tinge of green.
I've had similar problems on my cars all from corrosion (mostly logic
module problems).

with a hand vac pump at 15 of vac, have a single hose straight
from fourway to baro, STILL throwing code 13! HELP!!! :(

I just finished (on Thursday) fixing my 1990 Daytona VNT for a broken cam.
It broke a couple months back and I put off looking at it till it was almost
too late in the season. I put a brand new 88 TBI cam in it, as that is what
I was told was a good performer for it. This car had a broken cam
for roller cams.

All the solenoids on the strut tower are constructed the same and are very
easy to clean. If they are still electrically sound, they can be taken
apart, cleaned and lubricated with WD 40 for trouble free operation.
I can't recall the model year of your Daytona, so here are the part numbers
for 3
A correction on the part numbers I listed below. The 5227333 is good for
the 87 T1 T2 and the 88 T2. For 1988 T1, 5227980 is correct (I don't know
where I got the 911 in my first post). The number I have below for 1989,
5227635 is for the 2.5 T1 while 5234018 is for the T2 application.

I had an interesting thought about the living Shelby Dodge Survivors.
For example: Looking at the number of CSX-T's registered
on ShelbyRegisty.com, one might think that only 67 of
1000 are still alive or 151 GHLS Chargers

down for a repaint due to failing clearcoat.I have a
few questions on color. I want to repaint it exactly
as factory built it.
