You'll probably want to use a medium weight glass cloth. The stuff you
have may or may not be that. As for the epoxy, 5 min is a bit thick for
that type of work. At a minimum, I'd use 30 min, or better yet, a 20 min
laminating epoxy, which is really thin.

If no one has mentioned it yet, get your self a box of 100 razor blades. Cutting
covering dulls blades very quickly, so don't be shy about using them once and throwing
them away. It sucks when you are slicing off a piece of excess trailing edge

I'm pretty sure the F-16 uses flaperons for roll control as well, just like slope
glider.

I could be off base here, but it seems to me you would be crossing a very large gap in
price and features between the Stylus and the RD6000. Unless you have your heart set
on Airtronics, you should also consider the Futaba 8u and the JR 8 channel units (not
to mention the Multiplex stuff).
I've been experimenting with inexpensive (read cheap) on board video for a while, so
far without much success. It seems like a big hassle, especially since I really don't
want to fly the plane from the video...i just want to get some cool stuff recorded. I
think the best solution to this is
Just promise you'll get some speed runs in the shots! Gotta see some terrain whizzing
by! Watching video from a glider circling or even doing loops at 800 feet gets old
pretty quickly.
Has anyone done onboard video from a plane DS'ing yet? This could be your chance! :-)
