I flew my Stratos SL for the first time today and what a beauty! I own
several high end TD ships but the Stratos is by far the smoothest flying
ship I own!

Ok, there was very little feedback on the usefulness of a 6 servo wing and
that was split fairly evenly so, lets try something different.
Who owns an Escape and how many servos are you using in the wing? This way,
instead of having to express an opinion about whether or not the 6 servos
are a go
One other relavant point... the packs I'd create will be used in planes with
3 to 5 digitals servos. I believe the demand is greater with digitals and I
wanted to make sure the NiMH were up to it.

Any problems in using 4 NiMH 1660 mah cells as an Rx pack? I have 8 cells
left over from a Stylus back up pack that never was much good... batteries
were not tight enough and would break contact occasionally. I've since
replaced it with a better one. These 8 cells would give me 2 1600 mah Rx

I checked with the manufacturer and he gave me some things to look at. I'm
pretty sure the problem is the tow hook itself. On close inspection, it
appears to be angled away from the fuze ever so slightly. I have put a
little more bend in it and am ready for a re-test
I just got a rebuilt Ford long shaft starter motor (5.75") from one of the
RCSE members. He thought it was a 3110 but was not 100% sure and there are
absolutely no numbers on the unit. Is there someway I can positively
identify which motor this really is?

Ok, with a lot of suggestions and a lot of button punching I got the
V-Tail/Electric to work on the Stylus with a Hitec 555 RX.
I had to reverse the throttle servo for one thing. That got it to work with
the Hitec Flash 5 (which will not work with a v-tail on the right stick). I
then came upon

I just did a rough balance on the Victory C with the CG at 4-1/2" and it
looks like it will take better than 8 oz of nose weight! This seems high.
The fuse is unpainted and everything for the tail is right out of the kit.

has never need repair (knock wood) even after many hard landings. I think
the key is the reinforcement of the center section so you never face the

What is the recommended way to sand the LE of a flap or aileron? The kits I
have had so far had me glue on a 3/32" piece of balsa and sand an angle. I
