A - For skegs
(unregulated)
B - For skegs

C - No skegs at

Putting B and C together is not correct as even the

Jack,
What is the 1/2 in wide comment? What does that matter?
Re-read the rule. I think you are misreading it. The rule is that the
skeg has to be .25 in radius in a VERTICAL plane. You could have a razor

I lied...one more comment.
I watched Joe, Tom Kielsing, and Darryl in the past landing their planes.
Why? Because I wanted to watch the best. They have 100% control in almost
every landing. Sure, they make mistakes. But in every case their plane is
100% at minimum speed, on time, and on
with. That
would be nice

I don't think it is rigging. If you do a correct zoom launch there will
always be pressure down and away from the plane by the towline. The plane
completes an arc around the line and zooms/ping off. The plane should never
be closer to the chute.
99.9% of the time that the plane catches
winds due to the
external influence. In that case the advantages of flying hte extra
distance may be overcome by the favorable tailwind (or lack of headwind).
Sailing and gliders are VERY similar...but also very different.

As far as I understand, and a lot of this is from the FAI rules also, is
that it would not be a zero unless it is totally gone from the plane. That

FYI, most contests use blue sky rules. I know most ESL contsts do at

Andrew,
If this is for the LSF and you are a US based person, then you will need

Sucks that they are on similar dates, but that was the date that the ESL

ESL contests generally only allow 1 "class" per day. BUT you can ask to
