It's easy to tell if you use bluetooth headphones when dictating, at least the
ones I use. When the mic is open, sound quality drops to that of a phone call
instead of the usual full quality. Normally, once dictation is over, sounds,
including VO speech, return to normal. With this bug, though
how would a person know, if there microphone was still active?

Isaac, what you said below is not correct. There is no reason why you can't
go back between the virtual onscreen keyboard, a Bluetooth keyboard and
dictation or just between Dictation or the virtual keyboard if you don't
have a Bluetooth keyboard.
