Dave This is a requirement for me too as well as EOQ purchasing, and I am sure for all the rest of my old customers that I approach after the current customer is mostly happy. I have a couple more weeks of tweeking to do in sales order entry and billing accounts and then I'll be doing this.

I was not suggesting that a fix would be unconditional. Rather, something along the lines you suggest here- a conditional property that can be checked to determine whether or not stock should be checked before issuing. For this particular client this is an absolute requirement.
