A view menu is the menu where the visual appereance of the document you're working on and the surrounding UI can be changed. It's mostly mistaken by people with an English UI as "view" also means like "look at", but this is not the case for all languages. I don't know what it's in french, but the Dutch word for example can be translated as "screen" or "image". No, it would just work the same way we dop it now. The name of the menu never changes .. so it won't be "contacts" for a multi-convo and "contact" if only chatting with one user.
