Good point. This is indeed a possible and we've had to make several
changes on Linux and Mac to take into account platform-specific issues
with Qt 5, I believe.

Great! Hopefully Qt 5.6 won't change much as far as compilation.

Have you tried on a recent master? We've made a lot of changes, some of
them having to do with Qt. It would be good to know that Qt 5.5 still
works well for you.

By the way, are you aware of any regressions on Windows when using Qt
5.5 over Qt 4.8.6? I think you reported a couple of bugs and I can look
for them, but I was just curious if you had an updated status report on
the general performance of Qt 5.5 and 2.2dev.
