Hi Allen,
Any more info on exactly what is affected by this bug? I have used the
"2 row horizontal strip" version of the palette, plus a programmed
Tool Set, for, like, forever. I had no idea this might be the source
of problems.

I use two. Finale is on #1, portrait @ 1050x1680. #2 is landscape @ 1680x1050.
Moving Finale from 1 to 2 causes no problems with the context menus. Sorry ;-(

Finale uses whatever your system says your default browser is. You
can set your default browser to whatever you want from inside Safari
(yeah, I know!) Just open Safari, go to Preferences, and the first
item is Default B

YES! I resize it vertically in one long single column and place it at the far
right of the computer screen. As a matter of fact this was the first thingI did
after trashing the preferences and restarting Finale. So, that explains why
the problem returned so soon. Thanks.

In my drum parts, when there are long stretches of playing time, I
leave that time as empty measures and then when I do the part I use
the "blank" staff style to cover up the rest numbers and then from my
own text library I put in bold letters "PLAY 16".

look on the CD/DVD for a file called GPOFullInstruments.txt or
something like that and place that in /applications/Finale
\FinaleAU (mac) or C:\Program Files\Finale \FinaleVST, or check
with Garritan. Maybe they have the file for download.
