Ah, but in retrospect, those new/different/shocking(?) designs really were
well done, IMO - I can't personally say the same about the new M-Bs. At
least they don't look like the newer BMWs with their weird angles and stuff
though. Of course, I don't really care for current Porsche styling, either

McDonald,
Wow, a friend of mine used to have a 2-door Granada inline 6 with a 4-speed
stick. Jeez, that thing was indeed horrid. The gearing was very short 1st
and 2nd, then HGE jump to 3rd - O/D was similarly spaced to 3rd (i.e,
short). So, acceleration went like 122 (now going 35 or maybe 40
Not to nit pick, but the front antenna obviously doesn't work properly, the
car lacks a sunroof, and the paint on the roof looks cr*ppy. Still, the
market is at work and someone thinks this poorly designed car is worth over
$10K.

Ours ('65) did not. But it had a nice power front seat! The

Hi Don,
WOW - congrats on the car! It sounds like you scored a great deal.
That's exactly the kind of car I like to get - one that the PO had
dumped many thousands of $$$'s into. Amazing - you have a near-rebuilt
W126 now.
The 2nd gear start was for a few reasons. One, emissions & fuel

I don't believe this to be the case for that particular model.

Mercedes do this?
No rear emblems..not original paint?
