Not necessarily. Your laptop is in a different spot, doing differnet things
with different hardware than the Squeezebox. Again, your experience mirrors
my own; I had no problems with my laptop 12 feet away from the bridge. But
the laptop was using a different wireless card, was 12 feet away from
potential sources of interference and reflection/refraction/multipath
(again, metal enclosures?) and "ping" is not the same thing as streaming
audio.

It may well be the SB3; as suggested elsewhere, a loose card or antenna
connection or a downright flaky card; but it also may be interference. It
is almost certainly not the protocol stack. And as a software engineer
myself with years of experience with networks, wireless networks, and
networking protocols, including implementing, troubleshooting, and downright
beating on protocol stacks, I humbly suggest that "software engineer" and
"RF engineer" are two different animals. You are getting good advice in
this thread.

Well they are still running and it appears they were cleared of any
wrong doing.

Re that statement "Knowingly buying from AllofMP3 is the same as
stealing." I buy from AllofMP3 but where possible for the albums I
really enjoy and listen to more than once I try and make a donation to
the artist of around £5. How is that stealing?

BTW I agree it is not sensible to give companies like this your credit
card number which is why I use my web card with a temporary card number
and prepaid credit limit for all "dodgy" purchases.

I not only concur, but I will add that there's a bunch of other things that
can cause problems. For example, metal surfaces nearby causing reflection
or refraction, or the ever popular "multipath". I pretty much did
everything for a certificate in wireless networking (CWNA) except take the
test, and notwithstanding that, I gave up and wired my Squeezebox because of
dropouts. Didn't have them bad at first, but got worse over time, to the
point where I just couldn't take it anymore. And like the OP, I had good
signal strength, and my wireless bridge that the SB was connected to was a
foot or two from the ceiling of the 1st floor, and almost directly above it,
3-4 feet off the carpet on the 2nd floor sits my wireless router/AP.

I would definitely suggest changing channels, as it may be a strong signal
from one of your neighbors. In the U.S., much equipment defaults to channel
6. Try Channel 1 or Channel 11, as those have the least overlap with 6
(they are the "farthest away", so to speak). Try moving antennas around,
and bear in mind that the signal radiates outward from the long side; i.e.,
in theory, antennae that are "parallel" to each other should talk better
than ones whose ends are "pointed" at each other. Avoid large flat pieces
of metal (amp cabinets, maybe?) nearby if at all possible.

Of course, it may indeed be a problem with the Squeezebox itself. I have a
SB1 not a 3 at the moment, but IIRC the 3's have the dual antenna? Perhaps
check that both are enabled...

[slim] Automatic volume adjustment bug

2006-01-14 Thread Mark Lanctot
Just before I file a bug report, I'd like to verify it
with the forum.

With automatic volume adjustment (i.e. with ReplayGain
tags) I found that it was defeated if you did any
searching within the song with the fast forward or
rewind function. The song resumes at full volume.
Volume adjustment is reactivated with the next song in
the playlist.

This is 100% reproducible with FLACs. I haven't tried
it out with MP3s yet.

[slim] Re: AllofMP3.com

2006-01-14 Thread Scott F .

If you surf over to the IFPI (International Federation of Phonographic
Industries) you'll find that AllofMP3 is not paying royalties to the
artists or the record companies. Love or hate the RIAA and the record
industry, the artists are not recieving THEIR royalties from AllofMP3.

In turn last year, the Russian Police, computer crimes division raided
AllofMP3 hauling off the company execs. The following is directly from
the IFPI News Release.

===
Recording industry welcomes police investigation of Allofmp3.com

February 22, 2005

The international recording industry has welcomed action by the Russian
authorities against a Russian website alleged to be offering digital
copies of recorded music for sale illegally.

Allofmp3.com and its principals are alleged to be involved in
large-scale copyright infringement by offering music for sale without
authorisation from rights holders in Russia and internationally.

The Computer Crimes unit of Moscow City Police formally passed the
results of its criminal investigation to the Moscow City Prosecutor’s
office on February 8. IFPI, on behalf of its members, also submitted a
formal complaint to the prosecutor’s office in support of further
action on the same date. The prosecutor has thirty days from the date
of receiving evidence to decide whether to proceed with a criminal
prosecution.

IFPI, which represents 1,450 record companies in over 70 countries,
maintains that Allofmp3.com has not been licensed to distribute its
members’ repertoire in Russian or internationally.

Igor Pozhitkov, Regional Director, IFPI Moscow says: “We have
consistently said that Allofmp3.com is not licensed to distribute our
members’ repertoire in Russia or anywhere else. We are pleased that the
police are bringing this important case to the attention of the
prosecutor. We very much hope and expect that the prosecutor will
proceed with this case, which involves the sale and digital
distribution of copyrighted music without the consent or authorisation
of the rights holders.”

Background for editors:

* The Russian music market is ranked 12th in the world and was
worth $US326.2 million in 2003.

* Russia, with a 64% piracy rate, is one of IFPI’s top ten priority
markets targeted in the fight against commercial piracy.

* IFPI secured in 2004 the takedown of 60,900 infringing websites
(41,000 in 2003), 477 unauthorised P2P servers (1,050 in 2003) and 1.6
billion infringing music files in 102 countries (1.6 billion in 2003).

[slim] Help with Cyrus DAC-X IR codes

2006-01-14 Thread Nikhil

I use a Cyrus DAC-X as the D-A stage for my SB2. While the rest of my
Cyrus gear can be controlled with their master remote, the DAC-X itself
can't. So if I have to change digital sources, I have to walk upto the
D-A convertor. I know its not the end of the world, but it would be
nice if someone could help me figure out how to use the information
below to generate codes from either a palm OS device (my Samsung i500
phone) or a windows pocket pc handheld device. I understand the general
theory behind the philips rc5 code system, but I don't know how to
specifically generate a ccf file from the info below.

Quoting from the DAC-X manual:

The DAC X also features an extended remote command set that may be
accessed with a computer programmable remote control, as may be
specified with custom install systems. Details of the remote command
specification are shown in the table below-

Transmission protocol: Philips RC5

RC5 Device address: 27

RC5 command list
1 Input 1
2 Input 2
3 Input 3
4 Input 4
5 Input 5
6 Input 6
12 Standby
24 Input scroll up
25 Input scroll down
40 Toggle phase
46 Power on
62 Power off

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated,

Thanks in advance,

Nikhil

[slim] Re: Serious SB3 problems.

2006-01-14 Thread snarlydwarf

But it very well could be interference...

If you have something like this (pardon bad ascii art):

AP-| |-SB |-Laptop

That doesn't mean that an interference pattern 'between' the AP and the
SB will interfere with the laptop. The pattern may be from a phone
sitting near the SB, making everything the SB receives look like junk..
but 5' away in either direction (at the laptop and AP), the problem may
be undetectable.

Add in that certain chipset combinations are going to behave
differently when they see junk (assuming they see it: the
discrimination on a given chipset may be higher or lower... and the
noise on a low-discrimination chipset may actually be -less- than on a
high depending on how centered the noise is). RF gets very messy very
quickly.

What you describe sounds -exactly- like RF interference, including
packet retransmits and perhaps radio retrains on the longer outages.

Have you tried switching channels on your router?

I have a hard time believing it's a problem in the TCP/IP stack: a lot
more people would be seeing it if that were the case. There's lots of
people with exactly the same firmware on their SB and exactly the same
OS as you... so the question is, "what is different about your setup?"
ie, why are -you- seeing this problem and I'm not?

Perhaps it's a flaky reciever in your SB. Perhaps it's a loose antenna
connection in it. Or it's some outside RF problem from a cordless phone
or neighbor. Or even the a heating duct in the wall between the AP and
the SB is deflecting signals around.

But the probability says it's going to be something "wrong" with the
RF, not the software in the TCP/IP stack or a LOT more people would be
seeing the problem.

Because things like fixing a bad receiver or loose antenna connection
are complex, it's best to try the easiest thing first. If it works,
problem solved. If not, you spent a minute to get a slightly better
diagnosis.

I believe there's software that will record signal quality and things
like retransmits. (Remember, even UDP packets on a wireless link get
some protection -- the receiving radio has to send a "yes I got that"
packet or the sender must assume that there was a collision and
retransmit it a lot of retransmits means you are losing data
somewhere.) You may want to see if you can get that on your laptop and
see if there's something odd going on with your network. Is the SB not
seeing the packets and not acknowledging them? Is the AP not seeing
them?

That's all complex stuff, though.. I would certainly try to change the
channel on the router first.

Thought I'd post a quick update...

I'm happy to report I've resolved my network problem. Unfortuantly I'm
not exactly sure what did the trick. I was trying countless
configurations. I had nearly given up when I noticed one of my squeeze
boxes was no longer acting weird. I decided to try swapping ports (a
working with a nonworking SB) and after a router powercycle everything
was working.

Odd, yes. But I'm not going to complain or tinker any more. I'm not
sure if it mattered or not, but I also tried another nonLinksys
firmware. For those of you with Linksys WRT54G series routers you
should check out some of the other firmwares out there. They add quite
a few new features that are typically only found on much more expensive
routers. It also allows you to telnet into the router (it's actually
running Linux!).

Yes, that's true, but no, it's not the case. I have a laptop on the
same AP, across the room from the SB3. The laptop is working fine.
I'm watching the SB3 do its intermittent-connectivity thing while I
continue to use the network no problem. Here's an example (better than
last time but still showing problems):

Between the laptop and the SB3:
--- squeeze.exit.com ping statistics ---
189 packets transmitted, 182 packets received, 3% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 0.940/5.837/42.690/6.617 ms

Between the laptop and the Slimserver:
--- jill.exit.com ping statistics ---
188 packets transmitted, 188 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 0.914/2.473/64.434/6.584 ms

So it's definitely not wireless interference. I don't know what it is,
but it's not that.

The idea is to stop the PC being On when the Slimserver is no longer in

Cool, no problem. If you get bored by that activity, I have the
effects already setup in photoshop, and just have to import the other

Yeah, i understood that, but though that little scroll rocker thingy
might allow selection of widgets or buttons on the screen, similarly
the way that Tab does in IE.

I'm cool with whatever you device. Its such a nice skin, that I use it
in Windows, and thought the mouseover affects would be cool. If the

sweet. Your skin == your call ! :-)

Just a general FYI, with 802.11 devices, 'Strength' is sort of a
meaningless number. It's slightly useful in if it's "very low" that is
a problem, but the real number that matters (which most devices won't
really record) is 'signal quality'.

Microwaves, cordless phones, wireless alarm systems, neighbors on close
channels, all contribute to noise, lowering the quality of the signal,
but not the strength.

I guess the audio equivalent is having your amp set to max volume, but
someone drives by with a CB and nicely broadcasts his "10-4, Good
buddy" into the middle of your concerto. Yes, your music is at full
volume, but that doesn't mean it's listenable like that.

Unfortunately, most hardware doesn't monitor signal quality at all so
you're left to guess what the problem is. (Cisco/Aironet devices did,
but then they cost a bundle compared to the $50 routers we all use... my
Belkin doesn't even tell me the strength, let alone quality or packet
retransmits or radio retrains...)

In other words: even with 100% signal strength, something may be
spitting on your wireless signal. Have you tried changing which
channel you're on? That may move it away from whatever it is that is
causing problems.

[slim] Serious SB3 problems.

2006-01-14 Thread fmayhar

I received my spanking new SB3 shortly after Thanksgiving and have
enjoyed it a lot. I got it configured properly and even have my old
series 1 Tivo connected through it so as to do away with an annoying
network cable that my wife regularly tripped over.

Today, unfortunately, that changed. While it can talk to the wireless
access point just fine, it's having a lot of trouble keeping a
continuous link going, to the point that it drops the connection to the
Slimserver. Running a continuous ping, I see serious packet loss:

--- squeeze.exit.com ping statistics ---
3488 packets transmitted, 1169 packets received, 66% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 1.009/19.680/14871.431/435.113 ms

Only about a third of the packets are getting through. Interestingly,
if I do a hard reset it picks up and starts to work fine, but shortly
starts dropping packets again. It looks like communication to the Tivo
behind it also drops packets, so it must be something in the little
protocol stack on the SB3 itself, but I have no idea as to what it
might be. I've been watching it as I write this, as it keeps losing
and regaining the connection.

I do have a 2.4GHz phone about, but as I said it doesn't seem to have
anything to do with the wireless connectivity as far as I can see.
According to the AP, the signal stays near 100% pretty much constantly,
which makes sense as the SB3 is only about eight feet from the AP
(albeit through a wall and a thin piece of particle board).

Any hints would be appreciated; if I can provide any more information I
would be happy to do so.

[slim] SqueezeBox Freezes on startup

2006-01-14 Thread SteveSD

I have a new SqueezeBox v3. I have set up Slimserver just fine and it is
running. However, when I plug in the SqueezeBox it takes about 1-2
minutes before it even comes on. Then it will start to scroll across
with Slim Devices and it freezes up cutting off half the 'S" in
devices. It is not responsive to the remote or anything else. I can
unplug it and it just does the same thing. Every 5th or 6th time it
will actually make it to the screen that says SqueezeBox. I have a 5.8
Ghz cordless phone and a Linksys WRT54GX Wireless-G Broadband Router w/
SRX it does both -G and -B wireless. Is this happening to anyone else?
Did I get a bunk one?

1. SVN is the most up-to-date. Go to HTML/Nokia770 and do an 'svn
update' and you will get the up-to-the-second newest code.

2. Not as simple as it might seem, but I'll give that a shot. If I'm
going to be changing the width of the div tag for different pages, I
also want to make sure the nav bar icons aren't shifting around left
and right...

3. I'm a 'fullscreen' guy, but more power to ya if there's demand for
it...

a. correct, it's not sticky after reboot. Maybe we'll get an update
from Nokia that makes that work.

b. I second what Wei said on this thread-- go get newer firmware and
load it on. It's much more stable with the newer code (also, you won't
need to worry about a., since you shouldn't really need to reboot
it...just keep it in standby)

cheers,
#!/ben

thanks again for the work MrC! I did an edit of menu_home_active.gif
and removed the emboss effect. Basically, you are left with a glow
effect on a flat icon, which is what I had envisioned. It's attached.

I'm going to give the other icons another shot, so you may want to hold
off for now on spending more time on this.

Also, I don't think I was clear on the mouseOver stuff-- the Nokia 770
doesn't show any mouseOver effects, as there is no mouse. None. So what
I'm going to be doing with these icons is display the 'active' icon for
whatever page you are on. i.e., if you are at home,
menu_home_active.gif shows up on the nav bar instead of menu_home.gif.
No javascript effects, just html dynamically decided upon by the
templates.

cheers,

Elegant, if you only care about FLAC. I assume this proposed solution
would be a bit messy if you wanted to support polarity flipping on all
formats?

In addition, transcoding removes some features, such as FF/RW, I
believe? Also, would it not require flagging the song in some sligtly
messy way to invoke this "transcoding" -perhaps alter file name
extension? (Pardon me if I'm wrong, as I haven't explored Slimserver
much yet.)

One way of looking at it is, we have a new, lossless file format for
representing what we want to hear. Instead of, say, FLAC, we have
possibly-upside-down FLAC, in which the correct waveform is represented

is a mini-PCI. Personally I prefer wired since "it just works" but like
knowing the option is there.

Thanks for the reply.

[slim] Re: Any progress on synching flacs? Shall I try a newer build?

2006-01-14 Thread gharris999

How are you streaming the flac to the SB1? As MP3 or as WAV pcm? Most
likely, to get the players in sync, you'll have to steam to both as
WAV/pcm, since the SB1 can't nativly decode flac. I think you'll need
to edit your convert.conf file so as to disable flac->flac and
flac->mp3, leaving just flac->wav as the allowed format.

No I haven't heard anything specific, I'm just going
by past "hot products".

I can't find the MSRP for it anymore - it's like Nokia
has changed its mind about selling it. The Nokia US
web site says out of stock and gives no indication of
price or when it may actually be in stock...

IIRC it was about $350 US. After the exchange rate,
add the "gouging bonus" we usually get...$500 CDN at
least.

And that's *IF* it's ever available.

I agree. (Noting that you are indeed talking "a bit" about
implementation ;-) )

Anyway, implementation matters insofar that anyone could implement
server side changes (Slimserver is open source, right?), wheras if
anything at all needs to be done in firmware the picture is different.

2006-01-14 Thread gvh

Hi,

I have an sb1 and sb2, both wired on 100Mb broadband router and I play
just flacs. Synching doesn't work properly. I can only get them in time
at all by synching then starting a new album, then after the first song
they will go out of sync with the sb2 in the lead. I'm on 6.2.2 - 5426

I'd love to sort this out and any things I can to help/test/diagnose

I'm not quite clear from what you say above whether you can in fact
connect to Slimserver by using http://192.168.0.101:9000 or similar (so
it's just the localhost address that doesn't work) or whether you can't
connect at all ?

If the former, is there a particular reason you want to use the
localhost address rather than the IP one ? Localhost doesn't work on
my PC because of the way I have my network security set up, so I just
use the fixed IP address of the PC.

And in answer to your other question, personally I'm a big fan of
static IP's - makes it easier to tell what's trying to do what on the
network ! But you shouldn't need to have one.

Sorry if I've misunderstood your problem.

I think we should let the boffins worry about the implementation details
(where, on which platform, it is cheapest to do the transformation) and
concentrate instead on the important user elements of how it should
work.

It seems like one bit per channel for the music, and one bit per
channel for the player (in case for some reason the room is wired
badly) would work. That way, if you get an inversion for the song, and
an inversion for the room, they would cancel. That was the suggestion
made in the feature request, and it seems feasible and sensible.

[slim] Re: Problem with SlimServMon Widget for Konfabulator

2006-01-14 Thread acebathound

Just an update for everyone. I have contacted the author of SlimServMon
once again and have politely attempted to work something out with being
able to release my widget & keep both of us happy. His response was
polite as well, but he maintains that he holds rights to his
intellectual property & would not take a look at my code as it might
indicate I have rights to any part of his code. So unfortunately I am
not able to release my version of the widget to anyone because I had
previously viewed code to SlimServMon to do the original updates/fixes.
I cannot take a chance of this code getting released to anyone &
getting in any further disputes with the author & am TRULY sorry to
anyone who has waited over 6 months for an update for SlimServMon. I
know if I was the author I would not allow that to happen. The
SlimServMon author has told me development is still ongoing & the
project has not been abandoned.

I would like to make a suggestion: Anyone with *some* level of
HTML/JavaScript knowledge code a version of the widget themselves
*without* looking at any code in SlimServMon. The SlimServer XML
interface is well documented & it's really not a hard application to
code from scratch if you have reviewed basic Konfabulator widget
tutorials & possibly looked at some sample programs. I'll even send
you the control panel graphics that I intended to use in my widget
(play, pause, stop & skip buttons). This way the author cannot claim
any type of infringement on his software & the community will have
something that works & which (hopefully) can be modified by other users
openly & without such restricted copyright terms.

Lastly, I have learned from all of this that if I ever get the notion
to fix something that someone else has written, it's best to email them
first & find out if they would allow you to post modified code & if not
you always have the option of writing the application yourself as long
as you haven't previously viewed/modified their code.

I want to save power and wear and tear. Unfortunately when the PC stays
on there is noise from the fans and the electronics (heating up) and
moving parts are subject to wear and tear.

In the absence of the facility to have the PC go to standby/hibernation
or Off when streaming (Hard Disc & LAN activity) is stopped, I will have
to stop the HD and monitor working.

Perhaps someone knows how to switch the PC to the standby/hibernate
mode or Off after the set time even though music is being streamed from

Mucking about with the large data files on the hard disk is something
that I think should be avoided.

Flipping the data on the server side, in real time as the data is being
sent to the SB, is fine as a solution, provided that it is practical to
implement. This is the solution I first imagined, before it was
mentioned that a firmware toggle would be easier (?).

Agree, apart from the "one channel" part. Having a flag for each
channel is fine, for maximum flexibility. However the problem with
incorrect polarity is not a problem where just -one- channel is out of
phase!

If one channel is out of phase with regard to the other channel, then
the result is a massive sound degradation capable of making you feel
sick after a while! In addition base information would cancel out if
you use a single sub woofer, leaving you with no sub base at all. I
have never heard of any CD being released with such a gross error.

The sound degradation due to -both- channels being inverted is much
more subtle, and can be hard or impossible to hear on a simpler system.

[slim] Network bridge question

2006-01-14 Thread benc

I just got my new SB3 - and am very impressed. The display is great,
wireless connection loads more reliable than SB1, and sooo pretty. Oh
and the crossfade really works well.

I'm using the ethernet port as a bridge for my HTPC (Win MCE 2005). It
was really easy to setup, and really works well for browsing the
internet, but fails if I try to access the (Win 2K3) server where
slimserver runs.

If I try to remote control the server, or access a share it starts to
connect, but then seems to time out. I can access other PCs shares
fine, and as I said I can access the net fine.

I have firewalls turned off on all the PCs/server.

Any ideas?

I guess USB 1.1 should be fine as long as you don't have too many
players streaming different music. Would also depend on how your

lower bitrate, FLAC should also be ok, but would be able to handle

dBpowerAMP Audio player (dAP - www.dbpoweramp.com) handles this in a
really nice way IMO. A tick box has three states - '-', '+' and space.
'-' means don't include any track that has this genre, '+' means do
include any track that has this genre and space means I don't care.

These can be applied to artists and genres making a really powerful
selection mechanism. Unfortunately, in it's current release, it will
only handle a single genre in the tag although the database will hold
many genres (only the first gets written to the tag). Selection
configurations can then be saved and reloaded so, for example, I added
a dAP db tag of zBL to any tag that contains bad language and created a
selection criteria that excludes it. Whenever we had adults who might
be offended by it or children in the house I'd loaded the 'no bad
language' selection criteria. I did similar things for Exercising and
parties.

Unfortunately there's no way I know of to feed dAP output into
SoftSqueeze or Squeezeboxes so it doesn't help much but it might give
programmers ideas.

I'm staggered there's nothing around to take the output destined for
the audio card and turn it into some sort of input that can be used for
other programs on the PC (such as Slim). I had a play with Shoutcast
but didn't get anywhere although that may have just been me of course!
I confess I like the flexibility and usability of dAP so much that if
there was any way to feed its output into the Slim system I wouldn't
use any other way of playing my music.

Mainly I was trying to make sure I understood mathematically what we
were talking about. Thanks, P Floding and Michaelwagner, for
clarifying that.

I can see that it would be convenient to be able to listen to both
versions (faster than by switching between two versions of the same
file) until you had it figured out. I don't get the point, though,
about "unaltered" data. Nobody said you had to throw away the
original, and the transformation is losslessly invertible anyway.

So, yes, you could do it in the server, or before the server. It's a
trivial calculation, it doesn't need to be done in real time, and CPU
cycles on the box and on the computer don't cost the same, so the
comparison of "resources" may not be fair.

Aside from the practicalities, which don't seem insurmountable either
way, I am wondering if we are being swayed by a psychological
distinction between seemingly clean and dirty ways of producing
identical bits at the DAC and identical voltages at the speaker
terminals.

[slim] Re: Random Mix Genre Extended Character Bug

2006-01-14 Thread max . spicer

Thanks for that. I need to have a play with this as I don't know how
the new callback mechanism works (Fred's rewritten the appropriate bits
of random mix to work with this, and I'm not up to speed with it).
Could you give me a transcript of loading an album via the cli. I'll
then do it myself and work out what needs changing to have random mix
exit appropriately.

OK, your explanation makes sense, however that is certainly not clear
from the wording "Genres to include in your mix:", which is ambiguous
at best.

How about a single tickbox to choose whether you want inclusive or
exclusive behaviour?

I'd be happy to nominate if it did what it says on the tin. Sadly, as
has become evident from reading the forums, I am not alone in being
unable to make this thing work. Temperamental is not the word. At first
it connectd to network but not slim server, day 2 and I can't even
connect it to the network. SOmething is fundamentally wrong and the
support documentation in this area is woefully inadequate.

Re: [slim] Re: Re: Update On White Noise Bacground Issue/Bug

2006-01-14 Thread Neil Cameron
I've just realised that I haven't had an issue since about then; but at
about the same time I did reduce the iTunes volume of the whole collection
from 100% increase to about 80% to see if it would help.
So; one of those actions worked! But which one?

Would you like me to put the volume back up and try to repeat the fault?

SB1: Intersil Prism 2.5 or Prism3 (PCMCIA)
SB2/3: Atheros AR2413 (Mini-PCI)

It's easy enough to find the cards - the challenge is going to be
antennas/cabling and whether the card connector is present.

[slim] Re: Nokia 770 Skin

2006-01-14 Thread mwphoto

Hi All,

just recieved my Nokia 770 and I'm playing with the skin - great work.

I have some questions/suggestions I hope people can help with.

1) Is the latest version in SVN or available from the website? I want
to keep up to date with the latest (I have latest SVN)

2) I love the 800x480 but on windows that scroll it would be helpful if
we were 780x480 so the right hand scroll bar doesn't trigger a bottom
scrollbar.

3) I'm thinking I might like to create a skin that fits in a non-full
screen version of the browser - would anyone be interested?

4) These are a bit off topic for the skin but other 770 users might
like to comment:

a) I've noticed the setting for toolbar-off in fullscreen mode doesn't
persist. If I reboot the 770 the toolbar is back in fullscreen mode.
Does this happen for anyone else?

b) overall browsing seems a bit buggy - I've had a couple of crashes
and sometimes it gets into a state where the browser won't start.

Cheers.

Malcolm

BTW I have the slimserver page linked from the homepage. I've attached
the logo I used.
