I have Installed OTRS 2.1 on Windows XP. I need help to activate cron
jobs and activate all users from the Active directory to can be able to
log onto the system with their username and password.

What do I user to run the commands, do I have to use command prompt?

My question is where do I need to do to can be able to put in the
command lines? Do I go to the command prompt or what?

[otrs] cron jobs not working anymore

Please help I am not receiving tickets anymore on the otrs
system. I have trying to run the cron jobs again and still they are not
working.



When I run crontab u otrs l there is no cron
jobs running

I have send emails before on this issue, I got responses from
you but still notifications are not working.

I need your
help regarding the otrs system, am trying to activate notifications to
customer, need the system to send notifications to customers when their calls
have been closed. I have read the manual
no genericagent but it is not clear to me.

I have put
the lines in Auto.pm

$Self-{'Ticket::Frontend::NoteTypes'}
= { 


'note-external' = '1', 


'note-internal' = '0', 


'note-report' = '0', 


}; 

I have put
the lines in Config.pm

$Self-{DefaultNoteTypes} = { 

 'note-internal' = 1,

When I close a ticket I choose the CLOSE link and put in the
solution/comment in the note-text field. The default note-type is
note-internal. I tested now using note-external and it still does not send
notifications to customers. 



Should the note-type be external or internal for customers to get
notifications?

I've had some fun with this lately. We changed ISP and they use Imail
and their premium mail filter.











I had to add the relevant tags into the SysConfig in OTRS to be able to
pick them up in the postmaster filter screen.





Also they were case sensitive, but once this was done filters such as:











Match: I-Mail-Spam-Revdns = .*





Set: X-OTRS-QUEUE = Junk





Set X-OTRS-STATE = closed successful











worked nicely.





Apologise that this list is in uppercase after mentioning the case
sensitivity, but here are the tags I was given:

the error when I press the submit option, and I login with the username and
password from the Active directory, and how do I clean /var/log/messages? Do I
just delete or I need to save the elsewhere first.

file, youll need to look at it in order to determine why you are having this
problem (cat ,more or tail /var/log/messages).

I have few problems




 The
 system shows nothing on My tickets when Customer are logged in.





 The
 system does not send Customers notifications when their calls are closed.





 When
 I search on FAQ the system gives nothing, this happens only when I am

One of my customers who joined our organization last week tried to
log in yesterday and today, and this is the error that she gets Login failed! Your username or password was

I have checked on the Customer User Management her details are

Are you running OTRS on a Debian system by any chance? There is an error 
in the backup script as it is shipped with the Debian package. If you 
run Debian let me know. I can explain how to fix it.
