Is Fire, the 1990 album by Inner City, still a worthwhile purchase? I'm
intrigued by the opening track, 'Innovators (Detroit Techno)', which (to
my eternal shame) I've never heard.

Yeah, all _four_ of the Depth Charge cd comps are essential, and what's
more, readily available from Submerge as far as I know. The Tresor
comps (up to 5 or 6) have consistently solid contributions from
various Detroit artists.
Make sure to grab 'Generator World Sonik Domination' Volumes One and
Check this. Rumour has it that the Magic Feet people are behind this one.
