Maybe good to talk about our typical long distance trip that, with the long
range 3, requires a visit to supercharger. Reno->Yuba City->Reno. This is
over the summit of the sierras so is NOT a drive easy on the Tesla. It's
about 75 miles past the range th
10 kW of solar would cost about $5K or less. Say you spend $200 per month on
gas the panels pay for themselves in a couple of years.

Model 3 and Y reliability is very good. Build quality on exterior varies. Some

And to completely change the topic, I think that subsidies for building
charging stations should be based on KWh delivered and not just a
subsidy to build a charging station. With current subsidies you end up
with a bunch of 50KW DC "fast" charging stations that never get maintained
or used becaus
MN, where decent DC fast charge options are extra sucky, but even planning
a trip from here to Upstate NY this summer it is pretty sketchy and you
really need to drill down and read comments on plugshare etc. With a Tesla
you just punch in the destination and it plots out all the places you need

Congrats on the Tesla! We had one on order and it kept getting delayed so
we ordered a Polestar 2. On the way up to the cities to pick up the P2
they texted us that the M3 was ready... We stuck with the P2. With the
exceptions of:
