A cheap s/s amp (HT receiver), iirc definitely not 100k input
impedance.
I'm sure it could sound better (currently looking for a good deal on a
better amp), but compared to the systems I've heard it sounds really
good nonetheless.

mass market devices, but perhaps not as good as some outboard DACs, and
interconnects could be a factor as well.
Give both ways a shot and let us know what you conclude! Yours will be

Seems to me - non-engineer that I am - that a higher grade component of
the same nature substituted in can only have 3 possible results:
- better sound
- worse sound
- no difference
and that only our ears can tell us whether we like the change,
regardless of measured results.

the UI seems much more responsive (browsing, pausing/starting songs,

Bought a Kimber D-60, but sold it in favor of a much cheaper cable
bought on ebay that sounded just as good if not better to me. (If I
remember correctly the ebay seller/company was Cable Solutions, and the
cable was their top of the line Canare, I believe under $65 or so).

I use the Super-T with a pair of Totem Arro's and the sound is
fantastic. In my bedroom, room size approx 18x22, I can generally only
turn the T up a little more than halfway and keep the SB on about 7.

I readily hear an improvement over mass-market CD/DVD players. Haven't
