Thank you, was working through this same problem in Volume 2 Lab 2. The
gatekeeper syntax in the Proctor Guide is missing the IP address, I'm
assuming is needed because HQ router is also an H323 gateway. The BR2
router could register when I specified the loopback on HQ but not the
subinterface.
Is there a way to accomplish inbound call block based on ANI on an MGCP
gateway, perhaps with a blocking route pattern?

No, that won't work. The ANI-specific routing starts at the CUCM side, so
in order to send it to UCCX (which can subsequently route based on ANI), all
calls would have to be sent to UCCX by default. The problem starts further
upstream (unless there's a way to filter a call based on ANI on the

I need some help understanding this logic. In this question we are asked
to focus on two sites (HQ and BR2) that are communicating via gatekeeper and
CUBE. The question seems to be saying that the gatekeeper is being engaged
in instances of a call originating from BR2 to CUCM (because the

What do you mean by rebuild the cluster? If you have a pub at one
site and a sub at the other, you probably have each site's phone register
locally to their own host (eliminating the need for SRST for the most
part.) The only thing that's affected when you move the hosts is intrasite
damaged.
You should have a testing plan and run through it after you turn the SUB
off and before you take it away.

In 10.1 we're asked to create a hunt group with a SCCP and SIP to be used in
an SRST condition. Voice register pool 1 makes use of *sip.app*, which I
don't happen to have on my flash. Can someone tell me where I can find
this? If I disable it, SRST inbound calling works again (with the use of a

I have CME in my home lab too, I think it's a matter of getting used to it.
Once you shut off your phone ports to make sure nothing tries to connect
during setup, specify your loads and configurations in your
telephony-service and voice register global settings and already have the
correct SCCP
This has happened to me before. A phone got stuck in upgrading, I forgot to
unplug it before leaving the office, when I came back it finished
upgrading. Not exactly sure why this happens, sometimes if you give it a
lot of time it gets around to downloading the files. PROVIDED you've set up

You know, could I be having this problem because a transcoder hasn't been
configured in CUCM yet
Am I missing something - 4.6 in this lab seems to be asking to have
international dialing active during business hours but the Proctor Guide's
solution seems to be setting up the international dialing to only work after
hours (the opposite). Is this an error?
