Seriously? that's really what you think? Maybe, that's half the
problem, if conservatives think that, maybe liberals believe
conservatives don't want anybody (even themselves) talking to their
kids about sex.
I think its more of a case of many conservatives prefer to pay more attention

I don't think teaching abstinence is a terrible idea, but teaching
abstinence only is appallingly ignorant of basic human biology. Of course,
if the people preaching this view were prevented from taking biology by
their parents, the picture of how we got where we are might become a lot
clearer.
