When a game is released for all three major consoles, I buy it for the
Xbox - NFL 2K5, Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell - but each platform has
its excellent games that will not be, or will see a major delay in,
porting across systems (provided they aren't first or second-party games).

can you just hook straiught into a moniter?
bypassing tv inputs altogether?
think that that would make SO much sense since old 17" are easy to come by..

I didn't even know that existed, I just did a Google search and found
nothing. Where does one get that? Is it only available in Europe?

Very little, the real difference is in the BIOS you flash it with, just
remember that if you want to go live and have the box chipped you will need
a chip with an on/off switch.

Shame on you, the Xbox has far superior graphics to the PS2, if the only
reason you use the PS2 is the controller then s
controls are simple, you don't have to worry
about 25 different keyboard functions to play. You don't have to be a big
FPS nut to be pretty good.

It isn't even in the works yet from what I understand.
It was over a year before the first one made the jump.

Anybody know when the PC version
I was having a discussion about Halo 2 with some friends on another
mailing list yesterday. Basically, I was completely unimpressed with
Halo. I rented it and sat down with it for a couple of nights, and
really tried to enjoy it, but the storyline was choppy and
uninteresting, the controls we

see now, that is precisely why I bought an XBox in the first place. So
I wouldn't have to keep modifying my PC when new games came out. And
yes I'm willing to stipulate the "instant out-of-date" drawbacks of a
platform, etc, but FWIW, I bought my XBox a couple years ago and I've
never looked back.
Anybody know when the PC version will hit shelves?
I finally just got rid of the XBox since most of the games I liked for it
(like Halo) were also available on the PC and (now, after upgrqades) my PC
blows anything else out of the water. ;^)
