The "F" in FECN means forward, so I choose "a."
The packet arrives at the dest, notifying the dest that it experienced
congestion along the way, so that rules out "b." Which is actually the

"c." is not a function of FECN nor

Hi Willy!
Balanced and Unbalanced is a term carried over from transmission line

(It overs data, microwave, telephone circuits, radio antenna, as well as
high-voltage power distribution!)

I would choose answer a.
Answer b corresponds to what is called the BECN.
The reason that it is a trick question is that the immediate reaction would
be to discard Answer a because FECN is not the only way to tell if a packet
experienced congestion.

No, the shortest possible way would be to set up an alias and then use that.
For example create an alias "alias exec s copy run start"
That way a "copy run start" from the command prompt could be entered by

If you cannot telnet to the router, there is a possibility that a

The biggest caution I'd give about Cisco's IOS support for DHCP is that if
you bounce the router, it forgets all the dynamic leases. It does have the
ability to log leases to an ftp server, but if you're going to have to set
up an ftp server, might as well have that box do DHCP as well.
Actually, just to be picky, "s ru" also works. Although you usually have to
type in enough letters to make a command unambiguous, "show" is an exception, as
it can be abbreviated to "s".
However, I suspect the original questioner actually wanted to know about

Setup a TACACS+ server to centtral password control.
Setup MRTG to monitor all of your interfaces.
