I passed the BCMSN test, but you can look at the Cisco documentation for what should be on the test. If you've taken any courses for the CCNP, or look at the info from Cisco, you will probably see that ATM, and LANE in specific, is a very small percentage of the material covered, if at all. So

If you mean the switching (BCMSN) exam, the only reference that i found for LANE was in the trunking protocols... In the study guide, there is a table mentioning the different protocols (isl, 802.1Q, 802.10 and, of course LANE). But i doubt one is supposed to know how LANE works. -- Charles

Yes. On the major atm interface on r1, use the 'lane config fixed-config-atm-address' for the LECS. This will force the LECS to advertise the well-known LECS address, which the LANE Clients already know how to use. This requires no special configuration commands on the ls1010. HTH, Scott
