for finding the packages which contained missing libraries if I knew the
library name.

controls. The sliders show up in the mixer but arent active and dont actually
do anything! same goes for aumix and kmix.

Ive had a problem, and figured out a (bad..) workaround with the software
manager.
The problem was it was getting mixed up over my 2 cdroms (1 dvd, 1 cdrw).
When trying to install a package, it would eject the dvdrom, (/mnt/cdrom), yet
the popup message would be saying put the disk in /mnt/cdro
I tried today "urpmi printer_drivers" with the hope that urpmi would recognize
the pseudo package. But it didn't...
in CPAN (www.cpan.org - perl package archive) there is a notion of a pseudo
package usually with the prefix "Bundle::"
I think it can be a nice addition to URPMI to add this bund

package X, go on anyway?" (or something to that effect) and all you get are
"yes" and "no" buttons. There should be a "retry" option, so that you can

I did just test it with my old computer. It has a 6326 and i updated it to the
newest version of X. It seems to work allright. What you could do is replace
the file /usr/X11/lib/modules/drivers/sis_drv.o from cooker with the one from
8.2 and see if you still have problems. If not than it is due
