Hi,
I have built two new AWstats RPMs for SME V5:
awstats-sme-server-1.0.1-0.noarch.rpm is based on AWStats 3.2 (latest stable
release)
awstats-sme-server-2.0.0-0.noarch.rpm is based on AWStats 4.0 (beta
version)

This adds a packetfilter rule, which allows to connect to the IMAP server

I have only changed the mailbox path. See:
/etc/e-smith/templates/home/httpd/html/horde/imp/config/defaults.php3/251fo

YES. Courier only supports maildir.

a) The unmodified UW-IMAP (with mbox format) works great. The UW-IMAP in SME
is patched for maildir support. This patch uses the unix time stamp of every
message as the UID.

Binary is installed, but not configured or started. I only need a working
IMAP and I want to keep system wide modifications at a minimum.

I have put together a HOWTO document and some RPMs for installing
the Courier IMAP server on SME 5.x. The Courier solves the problems
with wrong received dates for all mail clients and the Outlook2000
UID problem (Your server has reported a UID which does not comply with the
IMAP standard...).

Currently no testbox available. Sorry.
Was it already an iss

I have packaged a new AWStats RPM (Web Statistics) for SME5.
This package is based on latest stable AWStats 3.1 by Laurent Destailler.
Visit Laurent's site at http://awstats.sourceforge.net to get more details.
The upgrade urgency is low, since the previous package e-smith-awstats-2.24.1-

Yes. Copy /etc/e-smith/template
I have tested the dynamic DNS service and noticed
that the registration failed after reboot.
It seems as if the named service was started to late.
Other services like ntpd or fetchmail are also effected, but work
when named finally is running.

Hi,
the progress output (dots) of fetchmail causes
cron to mail these dots to the admin account each time
multidrop mail is received.
The --silent switch should stop that.

PPPoE service is now disabled.

1) when configured as "Server And Gateway" with PPPoE,
the default route still is wrong
now 0.0.0.0 on eth1, was 192.168.65.1 on eth1 with beta4
Is this the problem addressed by Jack McCauley?

I just noticed, that the Back button in some screens
does not lead to the previous screen, but to a screen
somewhere before.
For example: from "DHCP server configuration" back
to "Select operation mode" or from "dynamic DNS service"
back to "External interface configuration"
Is this intended?
Charlie,
I repent in sackcloth and ashes ... :-<
DNS works perfectly! I stumbled over a misconfigured default route.
When testing the connection I have pinged an IP number and it works.
Should I have tried my assigned local IP? Obviously I did - embarrassing!

Hi,
I did a fresh install of the beta4, dedicated server with pppoe.
It looks like that the named service is not running at all.
chkconfig reports named off for all levels, but there is a process
"/usr/sbin/named -u dns --g dns -t /home/dns" running.
service named status gives:
ndc: error: ctl_c

o comment?
Gordon,
here in Germany the login name is just "username" w/o "@something" for
DSL. This is sure for the ARCOR company, but should be similar for the
second major provider T-Online. They usally use a 28-digit number as
login name.
