based-on voltage to a serial port. I'm not sure how the same devices
are signaled via a usb port but I would assume a lack/presence of

Unless you have high traffic on other wireless devices, Qos should not
be necessary.
These devices/SBS clear/restart buffers at the beginning of each song
so any one folder to another will involve reloading the buffer.

that only MP3 and one other file type are supported at this
time and since the player does not show up in SBS GUI, there doesn't
seem to be a way to alter the play preferences to get SBS to transcode
