Hi Mike, The K3 has a lot of receiver gain. You can reduce it to something more like the gain of a K2 by setting CONFIG menu entry AF GAIN to LO. This will have no impact on performance. Have you already tried turning the preamp off? It really isn't needed on the bands from 160-20 m unless
