got the same problem on my CRON-ed monitoring scripts
which spawned new instances of the script cause ping
hanged. its not running MDK though. but it exhibits
the same problem as yours. the kernel on that machine
is 2.4.18

linux on one system only, then 'dd' the hard disk to
the other disks. well you will have to collect the
hard disks from all the workstations though.

the date and time when the booted kernel was built.
i think it wouldnt match the current date no matter

one way to test dependencies before you install it is
to use the --test option
rpm --test -Uvh package.rpm
if you try to upgrade or install any package that
command will tell you which files are missing,
dependencies, etc before actually installing the

mounted on your computer is not accessible or the NFS
server is not online or not reachable.
looking at your error message, it seems that your NFS
