years ago when my Mum was knitting mohair she had this problem. A solution she
used was to put the yarn in the freezer for an hour before she knitted with
it kept the 'fluff' stuck to the ball instead of the air! Might work for

Fascinating topic. I speak with no authority other than Alex Stillwell told
me that a woman who was a lacemaker was in high demand as a wife because she
could bring in extra money. We must remember that for the lower classes it
was a hand to mouth existence, and so
that snap in so you can pop
all the lace, threads etc into either end and snap shut then all is kept clean
and tidy. I use thin black elastic over both ends to hold the work while in
progress.

I use a lappet as a decorative scarf. Tuck the middle under a jacket
collar and have the ends hang down each side in front. I like to wear the
black one on a red jacket. However, at IOLI conference I have been known
to wear lappets on my head... a different one each day. It was a fun way
event.

What a great idea Lyn, they certainly look attractive, used to make something

Watch the simple and effective method of separating an egg yolk from the
white. It is a simple and straight forward application of
transferred.
