I would record only names that I have documented evidence of, with the
exception of adding the married name of females.
I would not add all the "possible" variations of spellings for instance,
unless verified as actually being used or your name list will be swamped.

How are you pushing your data to the internet? You can export to a gedcom
and in the export dialogue box, click the Customise button. This will lead
you to a section where you can exclude certain information. Notes are among
the things which can be excluded.

the one you showed in Family Historian 3 without the use of an addon called
Treedraw. However i'd advise that you look closer than this since i think Legacy
holds many other features over Family Historian.

have recently changed my monitor configuration
from a 21" monitor running at abt 1600 x 1400 (or similar I think) to a dual
monitor system running at the lower res of 1280 x 1040. It doesn't matter if
I'm looking at legacy on one maonitor or across two this problem still
occurs.

You can do this using tags in the name list. When you edit a person, set a
tag to say you've edited that person. Then using the "search" button in the
name list, select "show all untagged" for the tag number you set.
