At the console selecting the login session is a mystery.
I built and installed icewm rpm, installed and created
/usr/share/xsessions/icewm.desktop
The console login now shows the session menu and I can install either

if you enable (the great feature!) autologin for your clients,
sometimes you can't power them off easily by pressing the power button
(depends on hardware).
So instead of asking the list for help I would suggest the following:
Enable localapps in lts.conf and add a launcher on the

If Autologin feature is enabled, can users logout? It has been my experience
that if a user log's out than LDM will restart and log back in as that user.
Just thought maybe I am doing something wrong.

with KDM which logged in users automatically using one account and without
a delay. The problem with this method is / was that you have to enter every

I am trying to get all the terminals on my LTSP setup to automatically
log in as student. The server works with gdm or kdm, but not the
terminals. I tried the HOWTO for autologin with KDM, and after fiddling
for days trying to get KDM running and listening for XDM sessions
instead of gdm,
I have setup autologin with KDM on Mandrake 9.0.
It works well except for one thing : and I quit the window manager ( in
this situation, qvwm)
When I start the computer, it autolog. When I press ctl-alt-backspace,
it autolog.
But when I quit the window manager, it load KDM and dont autolog...
