I think different brands have vastly different formulations so once you find a
formulation that works with your body chemistry you're golden. I'm using
Replenex by Melaleuca but certainly everybodys results will vary.

an attack of concience. Went back to 400 and sanded thoroughly got it MUCH

There is 8090 and 8089, I believe. 8090 is the strong stuff, and what you want
to use on the hood pad. Just be sure to prep the surface well and wipe it down
with their General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner. Good stuff, and will take just
about anything sticky or gooey off of a painted surface
You can usually find this at better stocked NAPA stores if the local body shop
supply place doesn't have it.
At one time I saw the light duty stuff (8089) at Wally World, but that's not
what you want to use anyway.

Remover which is OK on paint.
