Looks like that car spun out, damaged left front corner, and then right
rear tire impacted something (curb?) which destroyed that rim/tire and also
bent the suspension components.
Wonder if the suspension was modified to fit those wagon wheels, which
caused a reduction in grip and drive-ability, w
124 made a huge improvement to the ARB (anti-roll bar) aka torsion bar. It
now runs down low across the front of the suspension, super easy to R&R for
bushings or whatever. The only downside is the two brackets that hold the
bar to the front body members are prone to cracking and breaking.

I haven't tried that, but in the past when I've gone in to our local
dealer, which is a long drive on the other side of town, their deal was pay
in advance and then make another trip later when the parts arrive to pick
them up.
No thanks is my reply to that deal, my time is more valuable, I'd rath
That's on your side of town, so I'll give you the honor of giving it a new

Is that a decent service life? I'm thinking that they were Lemforder, have
to look and see if I have records. Also need to decide if I want to just
replace the ball joints or go all the way with complete lower control arm
with new joints and new inner b

I've been buying from the first on that list, parts hub, and they've been
pretty good about answering questions via email and helping me track down
part numbers for small obscure stuff. Shipping is not too bad for me as
they are in Daytona FL.

My driveway is full, just brought home the E300 Diesel that Dan was

Somehow you can get the state DMV to tell you who is the owner and who
holds the lien(s). Might be a good start. If you declare the car
abandoned and pay for registered letters to go out to those parties, and
they don't respond within some proscribed time-frame, you can claim title
to the car.

Daughter unit needs a "smart" watch. Must have capability to read and
respond to text messages from the watch, answering a phone call would also
be nice.
I don't want to pay for junk, and I don't want to pay any more than
necessary.
Which websites have reports / reviews about these?
That's a neat story.
Reminds me of an older technology, which I have only heard about but I've
never seen, which is using a large flywheel as a storage device. Hook that
up to a motor-generator, so when the utility power is available, the
flywheel gets brought up to speed, and then when the utili
We've been getting a steady rain all day here in Chucktown, remains of a
tropical storm that passed by Dan / MG in FL yesterday. Probably at least
an inch so far, maybe a bit more.
So far it looks like no water on the floorboards, maybe tomorrow I'll take
the car out for a spin just to make sure
