Good idea. But you still need to take off the pan and see what is in
there and put on a new filter. What's in the bottom of the pan will tell
you a lot about the condition of the tranny. Maybe drop the pan first,
clean it and put a new filter on and then do the cooler line thing. I

tranny had
the deeper pan on it. A lot of the GM trucks and Suburbans came with
those as it helped the old 700R4 last a bit longer.
Any which way it's not a good idea as far as I'm concerned. Not too

topsider to change transmission fluid. But, how do know how much to put back
in? Do you have to take a quart measuring
carbs

Will a hose reach down far enough, or does the fill tube go to the
bottom? I don't recall this from my fluid change.

Since MB stopped putting drain plugs on the AT oil pans it tends to be a
little messy to loosen/remove the bolts and crack the pan enough for the ATF
to run out. I was thinking I could v

I bought mine from West Marine and it works very well as long as the oil
isn't too hot and causes the intake tube to flatten...only $50 bucks too!

A selection of these are sold at marine supply stores, a bit hard to
