It would be interesting to see what they did differently to cause it to be
blank.
However, remember in your exit, depending on the Exit reason, you may see
it blank. MQXR_INIT will clearly show it as blank because connection has
not yet been made to the partner.

Well, since there is no MQ5.3 for OS/390 there is no dilemma. WebSphere MQ
for z/OS V5.3 runs on OS/390 V2R9 and up and on z/OS.

Your receiver channel on AIX which MQPUT the messages to your queue
'crqlp.sad00' still has the queue open. If you check the IPPROCS and
OPPROCS you will see that they are not both zero. If you wait for a
heartbeat flow your channel will close any queues it has open.
