appears when booting). Both programs detect and configure your card and

I'm trying to find the man page on the C api "select()" but instead it's
pulling up the man page for the shell keyword "select". How to I find the
correct man page?

If you've ever configured your soundcard, the sample that is used to test
whether it works or not is Linus Torvlads pronouncing Linux. It should be in
/usr/share/sndconfig/ and you can run it with "play
/usr/share/sndconfig/sample.au". Or if you don't have it on your system, I've
