As far as I know, it should work.

It will work, but do not count on X-window being very happy with so little
RAM. 28Mb is very little.

itself. You'll need to run the following commands as root:
rpm --initdb
rpm --rebuilddb

You can add this mounting to your /etc/fstab file.
This will cause Linux to mount windows upon booting.
You need to add the users permission to allow users
to mount/umount the drive. I don't remember the exact
syntax (unfortunately, I am in NT right now), but you
will see others in /etc/fstab
