I got the same error which i traced back to a error in my ejb-jar.xml.
I cant remember which error though. Try to clear the deployment files in

Does anybody have a solution for implementing

Is WL happy with just including the helper .jar:s in the .ear, or does it require it to be part of an ejb jar in order for it to be found by the cl ?

you have tomcat serving jsp/servlets and orion serving ejbs if they're both
running on the same machine? For me, that sounds like asking for extra
maintenance trouble. And another thing, from having one "single point of

I agree with you, in our case we are using Apache as a proxy for other
reasons. One reason is that the Apache SSL certificate that we have
doesn't work with Orion (quite easy to fix) but the main reason is that
we use several instances of Orion, one per set of related applications,

very interesting to hear ways to setup large applications. But in other
words, the SSI script that shows the For maintenence reasons...
message could also be used as some kind of fail over?

2) Do you have a line that goes:
jms-config path=./jms.xml /
in your [ORION-DIR]/config/server.xml ?
3) Does your [ORION-DIR]/config/jms.xml looks anything like this:

The most normal CPU situation is bad DB usage.
I would check that area first, using whatever tools you have available to analyze your DB.

No, the distinction between groups and roles are correct.
The mapping should be in the /deploy-dir/orion-application.xml and map the roles to groups, as done.
If you check out the deploy dir of the ATM you will notice
