Maybe some more information:
we have the user group feature enabled like this:
$Self->{CustomerGroupSupport} = 1;
$Self->{CustomerGroupAlwaysGroups} = ['users'];
what kind of information I should provide here additionally, so that somebody
may help ?

we have currently the problem that CustomerUsers, which created an own account
via the webinterface and queueing in tickets via this, are not able to see
them anymore. They are afraid the tickets are gone :-( What is wrong here?

We are running OTRS 1.2.3 on SUSE 9 Professional. We are trying to get
OTRS to obtain CustomerUser data from our NetWare 6.5 LDAP server. We
can use the ldapsearch command from the console on the OTRS machine to
pull down information from our users OU via an anonymous read:
