"Oooo
Here we just call them "idiot yuppies" (grin). For 150 years the uniform of the
woodsman was blue jeans, khaki shirt (in summer), plaid wool shirt (rest of
year), hunting boots. Then the bambiests moved into the woods (at one time they
were happy to just look at pictures) and things went to hell

Well, that's what happens when the thread is too long ;-)
Thanks to all that commented. I quite knew that the one with the blue
boat is stronger, but the blue looked a little bit too garish, however

I agree. The one with a single boat gives the impression that the

Hmmm, tough choice. I haven't read the other comments yet, but I'm forging
ahead anyway.
Don't be offended, but I don't care for either. Instead, I like parts of
both. The first one has got a great balance to it with the curving,
cloud-shrouded peak in the upper right third and the kayak in the l
I'd choose #1. I think the composition is stronger with the kayak looming
large in the foreground. The photo has some 'depth'. I also like the color
contrast of the bright blue with the subdued background colors.
The second shot seems 'flat' compared to the first, and the background boats

I like the scene with just the blue kayak. It livens up the gray day. The
other one with the canoes looks to cluttered.

It's no cave joke here's the sign at the entry of a camping located on

I'm currently fighting with the stitching software to produce a nice
panoramic view for your viewing

Better composition: i like the single boat in the left corner. I also
think the single boat gives a more lonely/solitary feel to the picture
which creates a cool mood overall.

Thanks Frank. It's "Lac Ha! Ha!" (no not a joke, it's marked as such on
the map too) in the Laurentides, you can get there on route 381. A
really *beautiful* area. Highly recommended, no matter if you go for
taking pics, fishing or just sightseeing.
