Depending on each individual, as their needs differ greatly, a softer bed prevents skin breakdown and firmer bed surfaces aid in transfers. Air beds can be beef'ed to aid in transfers and then allowed to relax for regular use. Baclofen is a maintenance drug that is taken in gradual doses.
