Once a day NTP manually sets the time on out Linux Box with some close by
time servers:

But in RH6.2 I did not find the HOWTO dir in CD. I got the docs in HTML

I deleted everything in /tmp and I was able to get Metro-X to work with the
FontPath set for unix:/7100 but not unix:/-1. When I use the XFree86 4.0 server
XF86_SVGA, it won't recognize unix:/7100 or unix:/-1. Any alternatives or work
arounds for that?

It isn't clear really, so I'm guessing the you want to upload an entire
subdirectory tree to another machine and then delete it, yes? If so, it
would be quite simple to tar it (optionally gzip the tar file), ftp it up,
then do "rm -rf" on it.

I was hoping to set up a Linux box to act as a time server. I have looked
into NTP and in.timed.
It seems NTP has to be linked up with ether a radio, time server or GPS to
function and in.timed has to little instruction to be of any use. All I

kppp requests the root password when i run it from a non-root account.
What do I need to do to get it to work with out having to enter the
root password?
Another kppp related anoyance is that pppd dies if my eth0 interface is
up when kppp starts. How do I get around that one?
