Not sure if this'll help but something that happens to me under 6.0 on my
laptop sounds similar to this one, but only if u use DHCP. For some reson
if the '/sbin/pump' program hangs, it hangs the whole cardmgr thread. If u
don't use DHCP then it shouldn't be a problem. Check if there is a
a simple script that totals the
rx bytes for me?
I'm desperate for an answer...

I can't figure this one out.. I've just done a fresh install of
RH 6.1 and i've tried to configure samba exactly the same as i have
on my other machine, but it just doesn't work. I've looked in
/var/log/samba for some sort of error message, but nothing. It
registers itself on the network
Ok, i just upgraded to RH6.1 last nite and everytime i start
up a remote xwindows session from my windows PC i get an error
message saying my X11 server doesn't support DPMS. Well, obviously
considering it's a remote terminal, so how do i turn it off so KDE
doesn't try and use DPMS? I can't

up off the new kernel?
Or even better? What would happen if i tried to build the ncr driver
into
the kernel and not run it as a module?

For ease of use, i'd suggest installing wu-ftp. All configuration
can be done from linuxconf and is easy to understand if u know the
general concepts of ftp.
Also, if ftpd is already installed you might want to check
/etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny and make sure they're set up
to accept

Is it possible to get sendmail to automatically process email
messages as they arrive? Say, an entry in the aliases file that
calls a script that processes stdin ?
If this will work, can i integrate that into fetchmail so that if
an email is sent to an address that fetchmail downloads mail for
!?

I've seen this problem before too.
If you use domain names it is less reliable, as when tcpd does the

I could be possible "Y" is set up as an alias for "Z".
Check the file /etc/aliases and make sure you
don't have a line that says "Y: Z"

Ok, for starters i have no choice. This security package, which is

can setup u're ASDL link and IP masqarading and use the Linux box

because Sygate sucks ass.
