Does the box work with the stock RedHat SMP i586 kernels? If so then you may be choosing a combination of config options that doesn't work well together. I have this problem myself quite a lot. What I usually do is load the /boot/config-* for the RedHat stock kernel that works in make xconfig. T

Seems to me rather normal what is happening on your system: on my redhat 6.1 I also get automatically a file system check on boot-time after 20-30 reboots ... seems to me rather normal ... my file-check takes about 3 minutes or so ... But I don't think I get an 'error' message ... just an inform

ok, i think you were on the right track, you just made a few typos... first off, you're right, you do need 3 partitions. you called them: \boot \root \swap but they >should< be named (in corresponding order to the names above): /boot / (swap partitions don't have a name, err, mount point rather)

I really don't have any idea of wat's gone wrong with the partitioning with disk druid. But something i want to tell u more is that, the mountpoint for the windows partitions is 'not set'. Is there any problem to leave it 'not set'? __
