That's what I do, and I can only get a merged list between what was
and what now is. There is no indication of what folders really exist.
Do old folders disappear after pressing Refresh list in the context
menu in Manage IMAP folders? If they don't, that means your other
client
, but you keep all the additional functionality.
The modification required here would be to dump the manually downloaded
messages.

I have this same problem. For quite a while now I have just disabled TLS/SSL.
Due to the disconnects and the invalid certificate errors.

recheck seems to force a nice reconnection, but sometimes the IMAP connection can go into some strange state where there is no data being transferred, but the connection does not timeout.
