My guess would be that you downloaded the program and never installed it, you
just ran it from the download file (you had a .dmg file that you clicked on and
a disk icon with open office showed you om your desktop). You probably cleaned
out your downloads folder and threw the install file away.

The is no “exe“ on a mac, but take a look in your applications folder and.you
should see an open office folder. Open that and thete will be a pn application
you can launch. Once it is open you can control click on thr icon in the dock
to add it permanently

I do not know how to do this, but, I do know that if I do NOT set a
value for a property, then it uses the value from the parent (or has no
effect).

Windows, and I have a similar
problem when I switch over to Ubuntu.
And now none of my Openoffice programmes will run, including writer.
As I attempt to open them an increasing number of* .-lock.* icons appear.
Would un-installing and re-installing, or downloading Openoffice again
