I used to have a Mac II that had a 50mhz (I think) Daystar 030 upgrade
card in it. Sounds kind of like the one you are describing. Except it
did not change the computer into thinking it was a IIfx, it still
thought it was a II, just a speedier II. :-) Also it didn't have runners
to other chips

Kyle Hanson *is* one of the "more learned listers". He's one of the most
prolific contributors to the Mac discussions; he knows a hell of a lot about
Macs and always has helpful advice to share. I wish everyone would get off
his case. You're obviously not getting his point. I don't see
calls are about PCs! I think you'll all knowingly smile... we all
know why that is! It was the same back when I worked at ResNet at NYU. But I
could go off for hours about help desks and my opinion of them. That's a

Is the max RAM for a Performa 6214CD (such a well-known model, I know...)
64MB, orcan it take 128MB? Thought with the cost of 64MB 70-pin SIMMs, I
suppose it would hardly be worth it...

adapter card in the computer. It booted fine. Is a bad Turbo040 the only
possibility here?

use NiftyTelnet for email. On my Classic I run NCSA Mosaic 1.03, and I
have Eudora Lite 1.5.5 installed, though I rarely check email from that
machine. Netscape 2, Eudora Lite, and NiftyTelnet are all also present on
the SE/30.
