I used to have a Mac II that had a 50mhz (I think) Daystar 030 upgrade card in it. Sounds kind of like the one you are describing. Except it did not change the computer into thinking it was a IIfx, it still thought it was a II, just a speedier II. :-) Also it didn't have runners to other chips
