Is histoplasmosis treatable?

Yes. Antifungal medications are used to treat severe cases of
acute histoplasmosis and all cases of chronic and disseminated
disease. Mild disease usually resolves without treatment.
Past infection results in partial protection against ill effects
if reinfected.
